Why can't it be perfect?

What I''ll be writing about today is something completely new to me. A feeling I've never been familiar with and I think many people felt similarily at some point in their lives. As we get older we all notice this one thing - life likes to kick ass sometimes. Even when you think that your ass has already been kicked too many times or when it's just being kicked and for some reason you're thinking it can't get worse. Well, it can. Life can be merciless. I do not want to deny that but I do want to deny identifying being an adult with loosing what all children have - a simple belief that life can be perfect, that you can feel safe, that you can feel carefree and not even think about what bad may come but simply enjoy your life. A couple of days ago I saw this movie "heaven is for real" and there was a boy who almost died and saw Heaven, he said "Heaven is like here but more" (he was 4 yo but I think we all get his message). It proves that he didn't see to many differences between heaven and this world, heaven was just more :) I think most of us can relate to it and remember the times of our childhood when everything was so simple. The thing is, when we were kids someone else took care of us, someone else was doing all the work needed to make us feel like the world was heaven. It was our parents and they were able to do it because they loved us. They were humans just like we are, if they had an ability to make somebody feel like they were in heaven WHY at some point in our lives do we stop believing that we don't have this power. Or maybe we simply don't want it? Maybe it's easier not do put any effort into making our lives and lives of the others happier. But isn't it our CHOICE? Something we can change at any time! We have to be funny in the eyes of God.. We pray for things, great things, things we need and dream of, and when He gives it to us we can't accept the fact that He actually listened. What's the point of praying for something if we don't believe we can get it? God is love and if God loves us He wants the best for us. Why do we fear that something bad may happen to the good things we get in our lives? Why do we even think about losing them? Why, along the way, do we lose the trust that there are good things that may last forever - like our relationships. There are things or people made especially for us, God's gifts. The new track of the Roots shows what I'm talking about very clearly:

The Roots - Understand (Feat. Dice Raw & Greg Porn)

"People ask for God, 'till the day he comes
See God's face - turn around and run
God sees the face of a man
Shaking his head, says "he'll never understand"
People ask for god, 'till the day he comes
See God's face - turn around and run
God sees the face of a man
Shaking his head then says, "man'll never understand"

This is what I wish for you and myself - to believe that good things can last forever if we let go of fear and if we never stop taking good care of them. The more we think (or worry) of something the more real it becomes. Let's all give ourselves this gift today and think only about good things that can happen (if we really need to think at all). Sometimes it's just better to smile and enjoy  your life. We never know how long we're gonna be here.. A quote for today to sum things up:

"May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears"
